Diamonds


Cut

The cut of a diamond determines how it will interact with light, and by extension, its brilliance and sparkle.

Color

Diamonds come in a variety of different colors, but colorless diamonds are the most valued.

Clarity

The presence (or absence) of blemishes and/or inclusions determines a diamond's clarity.

Carat

Diamond weight is expressed in carats (ct.). One carat is equivalent to 0.2 grams.

Certification

A certificate specifies a diamond's dimensions, color, cut, clarity, and weight, among other characteristics.

Fluorescence

Many diamonds emit a bluish glow when exposed to ultraviolet light. This is referred to as fluorescence.
